Originally from a sleepy town in midwestern Ohio, Frankie Raye is a singer/songwriter now living in Clearwater, FL. Her music has gained attention from independent media outlets across the U.S, Europe, and Australia, including podcasts, independent radio stations, and news variety programs.
In the first few months of 2024, she performed to a sold-out audience in New York City at the legendary Bitter End, a venue that has been regularly inviting her back since her debut performance there in 2023. Her performance also caught the eyes of music executive Rich Fayden (Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, Chappelle Roan), and it was his word-of-mouth that landed her write-ups with major publications, such as The New York Weekly and The Los Angeles Wire. As if her trip wasn't successful enough, she found herself being invited to appear on Comedy Central's The Daily Show the very next day - a random invitation that led her to playing guitar during a segment, as well has having a conversation with comedian Michelle Wolfe. Later that year, she released her latest single “Back to You”, which has already found its way on several streaming playlists and has made airwaves on independent radio stations.
In addition to performing in the eastern part of the U.S, Frankie spent several years traveling far west, performing year after year at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, Ca., where she secured endorsements from companies such as G7th Capos and Mogami Cables. She also spent her time in California headlining her own showcase at the House of Blues in Disneyland, and she was chosen to perform at a songwriting event hosted by Yamaha.
While Frankie enjoys traveling to share her original music, she often performs regularly in her now-home-state of Florida. She’s made her mark at songwriter festivals such as the Pensacola Beach Songwriter Festival and the Frank Brown International Songwriter’s Festival, where she captivated a sold-out audience at the notable Flora-Bama. Many Tampa-Bay area locals refer to her as the “hardest working musician in Tampa”, as she performs nearly 30 gigs a month to audiences both big and small. She’s taken the stage at sporting events, the Hard Rock Hotel, Jannus Live, and the Florida State Fairgrounds.
Frankie’s music is more than just trying to secure playlist placements and streams. Her music often revolves around the nuances of what it means to be human - she taps into common fears, desires, and frustrations. She writes music that encourages people to believe in themselves and follow their intuition, and as always, she writes with pure and raw honesty.
